Herbert Mace was born on March 17,1873 in Dundee Forfar Scotland.

On the marriage certificate Herbert lists his father as Polley Mace  and his mother as Jane Smith.
He is 22 years old and he says he is a horse dealer.
Minnie is 17 years old.
She lists her father as Sidney Tyler and her mother as Emma Gray.

On September 12, 1917 Herbert registered for world war 1.
